The tuition fees for courses starting in September 2017 are £9,000. A loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees is available from Student Finance England. Tuition fee loans are not repayable until you are earning over £21,000 a year. Student Finance England will pay the tuition fee loan directly to Wandsworth SCITT.
Trainees wishing to self fund their tuition fees are required to pay the fees in two instalments; £6,000 at the beginning of the course and a final payment of £3,000 in early January.
In addition to the tuition fee loan, you can also apply to Student Finance England for a maintenance loan to assist with your living costs whilst on the course. Maintenance loans are not repayable until you are earning over £21,000 a year. The amount of loan you receive depends on where you live and study. This loan is paid directly into your bank account each term.
To encourage high quality primary trainee teachers the following financial incentives are available for 2017/18. Bursaries are available for trainees on eligible postgraduate courses in England who are not employed as a teacher. Bursaries are dependent on your degree classification.
